Sports Day 2016

Springfield Park came alive with the running and jumping of Olive School Hackney children today as they took part in their annual Sports Day. Each class was divided into one of five teams (Blue Bears, Red Rhinos, Orange Owls, Green Gorillas, and Purple Piranhas). The teams had to navigate various stations comprising:

Station 1: Long Jump
Station 2: Pit Stop
Station 3: Egg & Spoon
Station 4: Football Cone Drilling
Station 5: 100m Race
Station 6: Sack Race
Station 7: Javelin
Station 8: Basketball & boxes
Station 9: Bucket to another

This was followed by a staff race, parents’ race and a special assembly where medals and certificates were awarded to participants. The children and staff were then treated to a well-deserved bbq! Many thanks to the event organisers (especially Ms Dogan and Ms Deniz).

Reception children had their very own sports day. See amazing picture from both events here.
